Kobbie Mainoo's, love for football is evident from a young age. 19-year-old  who is one of Manchester United's most promising young talents. born on 19 April 2005 in Stockport, a busy industrial town in  Greater Manchester.

Kobbie Mainoo started playing football when he was just, 5 years old.  He constant desire to play, whether during breaks at school, with friends during sleepovers, or on the field next to his house. This passion fueled his journey through various youth clubs like, Cheadle Gatley, Failsworth Dynamos, and Shots in Handforth. He improved his skills under coach Paul Newton.

During his early training days at Cheadle Hulme High School, it was clear that Kobbie had a lot of talent. Steve Vare his coach, he was one of the first to recognize Kobbie's special abilities. He saw Kobbie do amazing things with a football, at a young age. 

Mainoo was very advanced for his age. He had strong dribbling skills and surprising physical strength. He was quick, hard to take the ball from him, and scored goals easily. Kobbie was known as a 'nice, quiet kid' who expressed himself through football.


He wasn't arrogant, but his abilities on the field spoke for himself. His love of dribbling and scoring was obvious, often leading his team to victory in practice games. It didn't take long for Manchester United's academy scouts to notice him.

This attention was the start of Kobbie Mainoo's promising future in football. His early years set the stage for his rise in the sport, driven by his undeniable talent and love for the game.

While playing for Failsworth, his talent caught the attention of both Manchester United and Manchester City.  But He ultimately chose to train with United three days a week, at the age of nine he joined Manchester United's academy, showcasing his dedication to the sport. Marcus Rashford's was his inspiration.

His time training and playing at United's academy was a critical phase for improving his skills. He regularly played against with older, more experienced players, which helped him refine his abilities.


Kobbie's hard work and natural talent did not go unnoticed. His ability to excel in the competitive environment of Manchester United's academy set him apart from others. This period of growth and learning was fundamental in transforming him into the talented player he is today.

Mainoo signed his first professional contract with Manchester United in May 2022. His strong performances, including a good display in midfield against Carlisle United in the EFL Trophy, earned him a call-up to train with the Manchester United first team squad in October 2022.  


Senior debut

In the past, Mainoo has played very well for Manchester United's youth teams. So people are taking a close look at him, to see if he could be the latest talented player, to come through the club's youth academy.

Kobbie Mainoo traveled with the Manchester United squad on their 2023–24 pre-season tour in the United States,  Erik ten Hag gave Mainoo a chance to play with the first team during the pre-season.he made his first-team debut as a 17 year old in January 2023.,  Mainoo made his first appearance for the Manchester United senior team on 10 January 2023, starting in a 3-0 win over Charlton Athletic in the EFL Cup. He then made his Premier League debut on 19 February 2023, coming in as a substitute in a 3-0 win against Leicester City.

However, Mainoo picked up an ankle injury while playing against Real Madrid in July. and out-of-play for the start of the upcoming season.


Returning from injury, Mainoo made his first Premier League start for Manchester United on 26 November 2023, in a 3–0 away win against Everton. He was awarded the Man of the Match in that game. On 29 November 2023, Mainoo made his UEFA Champions League debut, coming off the bench in the 58th minute of a 3 3 away draw against Galatasaray in the group stage.

On 28 January 2024, Mainoo scored his first goal for Manchester United in a 4–2 away win over Newport County in the fourth round of the FA Cup. A few days later, on February 2024, he scored his first Premier League goal in a 4–3 away victory over Wolverhampton Wanderers, with the winning goal coming in the seventh minute of stoppage time. This goal was later awarded the Premier League Goal of the Month for February 2024.

On 7 April 2024, Mainoo netted his first professional goal at Old Trafford in a 2–2 draw with rivals Liverpool in the Premier League. In the FA Cup final on 25 May 2024, Mainoo scored the winning goal in a 2 1 victory over local rivals Manchester City. He became the first English teenager to score in an FA Cup final since 1981. with this victory, Manchester United have won the FA Cup 13 times


International career

he was 18 years old when he received his first senior call-up to the England national team in March 2024. This marked his transition from the Manchester United Under 21 to join Gareth Southgate's senior squad.

Prior to this milestone, Kobbie had represented England at under 17, 18, and 19 levels. he had received his first call-up to the national squad after breaking into the first-team at Manchester United and impressing with his performances in the Premier League.


Kobbie Mainoo Salary

Kobbie Mainoo's salary at Manchester United has been significantly increased. Initially, his weekly salary was £10,000, but it has risen to £20,000 per week for the 2023 24 season. This represents a substantial pay rise, with his annual salary now at £1,040,000. There are also reports that Manchester United are considering tripling his salary to £60,000 per week as part of a new contract that would keep him at the club until 2030
