Alexander Isak has been touted as a wonderkid for years, but unlike many whose potential fizzled (think Dele Alli or Jadon Sancho), his stats tell a different story. Isak's development has been deliberate, a steady climb rather than a meteoric rise.

born on September 1999 and raised in Solna Municipality, he spent his early childhood in the Stockholm metropolitan area Sweden. he grew up in a middle-class family, because his parents were migrants from Eritrea. he started playing football when he was 6 years old, he loved soccer a lot. He participated in some tests, and got selected to play for a local team called AIK Fotboll.

As Alexander grew up, he felt comfortable and happy being part of the soccer academy. He learned to deal with pressure and made good progress, as he moved up through the different age groups. When Alexander became a teenager, he had a strong desire to score goals in matches.

During this time, Alexander had already recognized Zlatan Ibrahimovic as his role model. This showed that he admired Zlatan for being extremely talented, and having a great ability to score goals.

Isak began his professional career with AIK in 2016. Despite being just 16 years old, Isak showcased his talent by scoring a goal in the team's.

His skills didn't go unnoticed, and on April 7 2016, AIK head coach Andreas Alm decided to include Isak in the starting lineup, for a crucial Allsvenskan match against Östersunds FK. Playing alongside fellow young striker Carlos Strandberg, Isak made an immediate impact, securing a 2-0 win for his side by scoring the second goal.

Throughout his early career with AIK, Isak demonstrated his goal-scoring ability, making a name for himself as a rising star in Swedish football. and quickly caught the eye of Borussia Dortmund, he decided to leave his family in Sweden for Germany to continue his football maturation

his appearances were limited, to get more experience, Alexander Isak was loaned to Dutch Eredivisie club Willem II, where he has become goal scoring machine, scoring 13 goals 6 assists in 16 appearances, and earning him national team call-ups.

During the 2019-20 season, Alexander Isak signed a five-year deal with Real Sociedad, He wasted no time in making an impact, scoring his first goal in his very first game. Isak's impressive form continued during the pre-season, where he found the back of the net four times in five games

Isak's talents were on full display on 6 February, when he scored two goals and provided one assist in the Copa del Rey quarter-final against Real Madrid. as he helped them secure the 2019-20 Copa del Rey title with a 1-0 victory over Athletic Bilbao. 2021-22 season, Isak continued to impress, scoring a total of 10 goals in all competitions. Real Sociedad finished the season securing a 6th place finish in La Liga. 

In the 2022-23 season, Alexander Isak made a significant move to the Premier League, signing a six-year contract with Newcastle United on 26 August 2022. The transfer fee for Isak was reported to be more than $70 million, setting a new club record. as he scored a goal on his debut for Newcastle United against Liverpool at Anfield. Despite the 2-1 defeat, this performance earned him the Man of the Match award.

Unfortunately, Isak's progress was hunted by a hamstring injury sustained during a 1-1 draw with Bournemouth, which forced him to miss 16 competitive matches. on January 2023, his comeback by scoring a crucial goal in the 89th minute, securing a 1-0 victory over Fulham. He continued to impress, scoring in a thrilling 2-1 away victory against Nottingham Forest.

Isak's remarkable performances continued to turn heads, as he scored another brace within two minutes during a dominant 6-1 win over Tottenham Hotspur. Isak's performances drew comparisons to legendary striker Thierry Henry,  as I told you earlier, Newcastle manager Eddie Howe acknowledged his potential and impact on the team.

He continued to make headlines, scoring the decisive goal in a 1-0 victory over Manchester City in the EFL Cup on 27 September, marking the club's first win against Manchester City in their last 11 meetings. Isak's remained strong as he contributed a goal in a 4-1 win over Chelsea on 25 November 2023

Alexander Isak, who has been sidelined with a groin injury. The team is hopeful that Isak will be able to make his comeback in their upcoming Premier League match, In the previous game against Aston Villa, Isak was forced to leave the field before halftime due to the injury. However, according to assistant manager, there is a glimmer of hope for Isak's participation in the upcoming game.
